Why use it in class

How Classroom mode works

  1. In the menu, choose Classroom (teacher) (or use the button above) and pick 2 to 4 teams, the number of rounds and, optionally, a single continent.
  2. Project the screen. The silhouette appears and the team whose turn it is answers out loud.
  3. If the class gets stuck, ask for hints: up to 3 per country, drawn at random from letters, continent, flag, neighboring country and fun fact. Each hint used takes 1 point (a correct answer is worth 4 down to 1 point).
  4. Mark Correct or Wrong. With point steal on (optional), if a team misses the others can try, and whoever gets it right takes half the points (rounded up). The country is revealed with its flag, continent, language and currency, which is great for a quick discussion.
  5. At the end, the scoreboard shows the winning team and the list of countries played.

Keyboard shortcuts for whoever runs the game: D (hint), A (correct), E (wrong), Space (next) and F (full screen). On a steal, press the number of the team that got it right, or 0 for nobody.

Three ready-to-use activities

1. Team tournament (15 to 20 min)

Classroom mode with 3 teams, 3 to 5 rounds and point steal on. At the end, each team explains the hardest country it got right.

2. 60-second challenge (10 min)

With phones or computers, each student plays the Against the clock mode and writes down their score. Then compare strategies: which clues helped?

3. Review by continent (before a test)

In Classroom mode, pick one continent and play with the whole class. Use the PDF sheet to note the countries missed and review them.

What the game practices

Locating places and representing space, recognizing shapes and borders, and geographic vocabulary (continents, languages, currencies), plus teamwork. Adapt the activity to your class goals and curriculum.
